The Emirates Airline Foundation was created in 2003 and has supported over 50 projects and NGOs around the world; it is dedicated to improving the lives of children who need it the most.
This livery was unveiled in time for Valentine's Day 2017 and featured a huge rose decal, different on both sides. EK SkyCargo is a very active partner of the floriculture industry and its freighters carry fresh flowers from Kenya and Ecuador to the distribution centre of Amsterdam. The aircraft became known as 'Rosie' and made special visits including arriving in Barcelona on the Catalan ‘Day of the Rose’, in Shanghai on the day of the Qixi festival, Chinese Valentine’s Day, and participating in the South Indian festival of Onam celebrated in Kerala and in the Middle East by expatriates.
